The Springtown Quality Systems group is responsible for driving a continuous improvement of Quality, within the Wafer Organization, to ensure customer expectations and requirements are met or exceeded. This involves working cross-functionally and cross-site with our Minnesota team, to deliver improvements and adherence to our complex business processes and ensuring world class customer quality. Key to sustaining and improving this culture is a Quality Engineer with a passion for ensuring that our company's products and processes meet established quality standards by identifying shortfalls, developing corrective measures, and implementing rigorous quality control systems. About the role - you will: • Monitor and improve the quality of our operational processes and outputs. • Facilitate the investigation and troubleshooting of process/manufacturing issues.• Develop and implement quality standards.• Develop and implement quality control systems.• Monitor and analyse quality performance.• Inspect and test materials, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met.• Collaborate with key functions to develop and implement controls and improvements.• Developing, with key stakeholders, corrective actions, solutions, and learn wide improvements.• Audit our systems for adherence to relevant ISO standards. About you: • You are an excellent communicator comfortable working independently and cross-functionally.• You are a strong team player comfortable in challenging traditional ways.• You thrive by encouraging different ideas and involving teams and individuals.• Good mathematical skills and proficiency with computer software such Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Smartsheets.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• You are organized, innovative and able to manage and deliver multiple tasks and programs.• You are enthusiastic about driving the change to a Lean Thinking organisation. Your experience includes: In the final year of your studying an Electronic, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics Chemical Engineering, Biomedical related degree programme. Recently graduated within the last year of your degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in an Electronic, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics Chemical Engineering, Biomedical related degree programme. • At least 1 year of Quality Engineering, quality assurance, or a similar type of role.• Demonstrated ability of delivering continuous improvement opportunities or projects.• Effective communicator, facilitating effective teams.• Competent Data analysis and presentation skills.• Familiarity with statistical analysis • Excellent project management skills.• Exposure to corrective and preventive action methodologies. You might also have: • Degree in quality, industrial, or mechanical engineering.• ISO 9001 auditor certification and experience.• Six Sigma training or Lean Manufacturing Training.• Kepner Tregoe experience.• FMEA experience and facilitation.
