SalaryBouygues Energies & Services is recruiting Graduate Quantity Surveyors to work with the project teams and assist in managing the commercial performance of projects. The Graduate Quantity Surveyors will learn and develop the skills necessary to support the team and provide expert advice on all commercial aspects of the projects including the management of costs and contractual matters.
The Role
The successful candidates will be enrolled onto our graduate programme which is a two year structured training scheme. Our programme offers a balance of training and on the job learning to support the transition to becoming an accomplished professional. Graduates will take responsibility for their careers, while we offer guidance and support to help reach their goals. There are two roles and will be based predominately within projects in the West Drayton and Newport area respectively.
The type of tasks the successful candidates will be involved with are:
- Ensure compliance and governance in respect to various forms of contract including JCT, NEC etc.
- Support the contract and execute financial reviews and continually monitor projected costs and control within budget.
- Ensure variations to the contracts are priced and agreed at the earliest opportunity.
- Ensure commercial control of projects are maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Help the preparation of financial control/WIP/CVR documents and submit reports as required for month end results, forecast and activity reports.
- Fulfil Health & Safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the Compa-ny's Health & Safety Policy and Health & Safety Management Plans.
What you will need:
- A 2:1 degree in an applicable field i.e. Commercial Management, Quantity Surveying, Law, Construction Management.
- The desire to build a career in the Construction, Mechanical and Electrical industry.
- Experience in using Microsoft software with excellent excel skills.
- Working towards Membership of an appropriate professional body (e.g. RICS).
