Hays are working with a large number of SEND primary and secondary schools across the county that are actively recruiting for SEND Teaching Assistants at varying levels of experience, but we are finding a particularly high demand for Graduate level candidates looking to start out a career in education.
We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals seeking new opportunities as an Entry Level SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Teaching Assistant. We encourage applications from both experienced individuals, and also from recent university graduates.

• Drama/Performing Arts

• Sports therapy/Sports Coaching
• Any education related course such as education studies.
• Social care/social work
• Child Development
• Youth Studies
• Psychology and any other related courses.

About the role:
This role involves assisting with the development of young children up to the age of 18 with emotional, social, and mental health needs, as well as Autism, ADHD, and other challenging behaviours.
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support and assistance in the educational, emotional, and social development of the students under the direction and guidance of the classroom teacher and the SEND Coordinator.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioural management plans.
• Help manage student behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the child's overall development and well-being.
• Assist in managing challenging behaviours and creating a safe, respectful, and nurturing classroom environment.
