Job description

Are you looking for a role where you can make a real difference to outcomes for students and new graduates? This newly created post involves developing and delivering programmes of careers support, targeting those with lowest career confidence and from underrepresented backgrounds. You will have strong interpersonal skills, able to build rapport and take responsibility for a caseload. An excellent communicator, you will engage with students and graduates on an individual basis and in groups, face to face and remotely. This role provides an opportunity to take on a varied and interesting workload. You will be comfortable using data to prioritise and evaluate interventions, with strong writing skills to create engaging digital resources and content, and excellent organisation and planning skills.
The Careers and Employability Service supports students of all levels and disciplines along with recent graduates and early career researchers. We provide central services to students and collaborate across the University to ensure employability is integrated within the curriculum. You will be part of our supportive team of Employability Advisers, working with colleagues within the wider service together with stakeholders across the university.
We are one of the best not-for-profit organisations to work for in the UK. The University’s Total Reward Package includes a competitive salary, a generous Pension Scheme and annual leave entitlement, as well as access to a range of learning and development courses to support your personal and professional development.
We build teams of people from different heritages and lifestyles from across the world, whose talent and contributions complement each other to greatest effect. We believe diversity in all its forms delivers greater impact through research, teaching and student experience.
