Year 6 Graduate Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Hold a level 3 teaching qualification or be degree educated
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school with excellent knowledge of the curriculum (desirable)
- Prior experience working with children
- SEN experience (desirable)
- Friendly, empathetic and motivating
- Attentive to the needs of the pupils
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills
The role:
- Supporting the Teacher in planning and delivery of lessons
- Supporting students with low attainment levels
- Leading group interventions or 1:1 sessions with pupils to improve their attainment levels
- Supervising lunchtime and extracurricular activities
- Assisting pupils with additional needs
Year 6 Graduate Teaching Assistant must:
- Show documents proving their right to work in the UK
- Provide 2 references
- Possess an enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service/ be willing to apply for one
