Joseph Gallagher Limited's Belfast office offers a fantastic opportunity for a Graduate/Assistant Quantity Surveyor to assist in the provision of quantity surveying services under the guidance of the Managing Quantity Surveyor.
Main Purpose of the Job:
Your role as a Graduate/Assistant Quantity Surveyor is diverse and entails offering expert advice on the commercial aspects of construction and property developments. This includes managing costs, providing contractual expertise, and ensuring the successful execution of projects.
Key Tasks and Duties:
As a vital member of our team, you will be expected to assist with the following tasks:
- Estimating and Cost Planning: Collaborate on estimating and cost planning activities.
- Procurement Advice: Provide guidance on procurement strategies.
- Tender Document Preparation: Assist in the preparation of tender documents.
- Tender Reporting: Contribute to tender evaluation and reporting.
- Contract Administration and Cost Control: Support in contract administration and cost control procedures.
- Interim Valuations: Assist in the preparation of interim valuations.
- Cost Reporting: Contribute to comprehensive cost reporting.
- Final Account Preparation: Assist in the preparation of final accounts.
- Contract and Dispute Advice: Offer advice on contract-related matters and dispute resolution.
- Employer’s Agent / Contract Administrator / Project Manager Duties: Fulfil responsibilities related to employer's agent, contract administration, and project management.
- Consultant Coordination: Manage the appointment and coordination of other consultants.
- Meetings and Site Visits: Attend meetings and conduct site visits as required.
