A dynamic direct to consumer challenger brand, on track towards a turnover of c 20 million in 2024, seeking to recruit a Junior Chemist with a passion for quality & sustainability to join their team based in Hemel Hempstead.
Our client is currently in search of a visionary and hands-on junior formulation chemist who possesses a keen interest in ethical and sustainable products. The successful candidate will report to our client's R&D Technical Lead and collaborate closely with our passionate New Product Development Team on various projects and new products. As a valuable member of our client's team, the chosen candidate will have a unique opportunity to make significant contributions to a company dedicated to redefining experiences through quality and sustainability.
Qualifications for the role include a Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, along with a strong knowledge of surfactant chemistry. Industry experience is not mandatory, but candidates with relevant experience are highly encouraged to apply. A genuine passion for environmentally sustainable product development and a commitment to making a positive impact on the environment are essential. The ideal candidate should also possess knowledge of green chemistry principles, biodegradable materials, and environmentally friendly product formulations.
Additionally, the ability to work independently and a strong interest in collaborating with key internal stakeholders in R&D, New Product Development, production, and quality control & assurance teams are crucial attributes for this role.
