The post holder will work in a global centre of excellence with one of the best business development teams in the UK to deliver high quality bids to public bodies and other funders.

The purpose of the Grant and Bid Writer role is to develop, write and submit bids to secure contract and grant income for Anna Freud's programmes, projects and products. The Grant and Bid Writer produces tenders and proposals for contracts (approximately 70% of time), grant applications to statutory bodies (20%) and charitable trusts, foundations and funds (10%). Reporting to the Grants and Bids Manager, the post-holder will persuasively communicate Anna Freud's mission, projects and products to a range of potential commissioners and funders across all areas of the charity's work, including research, evaluation, clinical services, training, and knowledge dissemination.
They are looking for candidates with experience of bid writing to secure funds through public sector contracts, statutory grants, or from charitable trusts, foundations and funds. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of fundraising and public procurement processes, best practice and regulation, and good understanding of the national funding and commissioning environment for relevant sectors (e.g., public, children and young people).
