Fishtek Marine are growing. With an increasing portfolio of live projects and future projects in the pipeline, we are looking for someone with experience in Project Management to come onboard and help us deliver some of our ground-breaking work. In addition to Project Management experience, our ideal candidate (hence the broad salary range)** will also have a proven track-record in identifying, applying for, and successfully securing funding. This maybe as a project lead or project collaborator in a multi-partner funding bid. E.g. Horizon Europe.

Position Overview: We are seeking a self-motivated person to join our team. Ideally with 5+ years of relevant experience. The Grants and Projects Manager will be responsible for writing and submitting compelling grant proposals to various funding organisations across the globe. Once secured, you will lead on and support the delivery of these and other ongoing project work within the company. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with a passion for working in and improving the sustainability of the fishing industry. There will be opportunities for domestic and international travel.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Manager/Grant Manager

  • Managing the production of the required deliverables
  • Monitoring of projects, partners and stakeholders
  • Managing project risks, including the development of contingency plans
  • Monitoring overall progress and use of resources, initiating corrective action where necessary
  • Managing project administration
  • Proactively seek out potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and other sources.
  • Write clear, concise, and persuasive grant proposals tailored to the specific requirements of each funding opportunity.
  • Lead on and manage the complete proposal submission process, adhering to submission deadlines and ensuring all required documents are included.
  • Foster positive relationships with grantors, funding organisations, collaborators, research organisations.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years Project Management experience
  • A good Degree or MSc qualification
  • Proven experience in grant proposal writing, including a successful track record of securing grants.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong research and analytical abilities to identify relevant funding opportunities.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Familiarity with budget development and financial reporting
  • Background knowledge or interest in the ocean.
