Salary: £23,000 to £25,000 per annumLocation: Based at our office in Harlow, Essex Full time (Until completion of probation, then with an opportunity to work from home 2 days per week)Have you got excellent customer service experience and thrive in helping and supporting others? What you'll be doing:

Grants Enquiry Advisors at the Motability Foundation are the front-face of the organisation and act as the first point of contact for our beneficiaries, ensuring that their requests are dealt with efficiently and effectively so that the beneficiary experience is of the highest level. You will manage beneficiary interactions effectively and follow through on actions required whilst ensuring that case notes are compiled accurately and relevant databases are updated.

The role is fast-paced and you will deal with a wide range of enquiries regarding our Grant making and other charitable activities, this is a fantastic opportunity to make an impact on the lives of disabled people across the UK.

About you:

To be successful as a Grants Enquiry Advisor, you will be sensitive, tactful and a strong listener with a passion for excellent customer service and comfortable on the phone. You will be a strong team player with the ability to share knowledge and information whilst being able to contribute to initiatives and team meetings.

You will be well organised with the ability to manage priorities whilst demonstrating a resilience to daily challenges within the role. Most importantly, you will be able to demonstrate empathy and compassion over the phone whilst speaking to beneficiaries.

Must haves:

  • Experience in a contact centre environment.
  • Experience in investigation and information gathering.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to accurately compose letters and case notes.
  • Experience of using customer databases (CRM).

Nice to haves:

  • Experience of dealing with front line customer complaints.
  • Case management experience.
  • Experience of working with digital channels such as web chat and email.
  • Knowledge or lived experience of disability in either personal or professional life.

At Motability Foundation we fund, support, research and innovate so that all disabled people can make the journeys they choose. We oversee the Motability Foundation Scheme and provide grants to help people use it, providing access to transport to hundreds of thousands of people a year.

We award grants to other charities and organisations who provide different types of transport, or work towards making transport accessible.
