Hours - 37 per Weel
Working Pattern - Mon-Fri 9 to 5 with Flexible Working Pattern
Rate of Pay : £15.97 per hour
Essential Experience -
- At least 3 years experience gained within the last 7 years, working in a graphic design field that includes producing designs for online and print
- Experience must be gained within a professional capacity
- Experience should include using Adobe Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator & Acrobat
Desired Experience -
- It is desirable if the applicant has multi-media experience i.e. production of video and animation collateral using Premier Pro or similar products
Main Duties of the role -
Graphic Designer responsible for producing corporate reports, social media collateral and other graphics collateral for Department for Communities. You will be required to:
- Provide professional advice and expertise in taking forward design and/or multimedia projects on behalf of the Department ;
- Consistently deliver on all design briefs in accordance with instructions and within an agreed timeframe
- Produce error free, high quality, finished artwork for public, press and/or online within agreed timeframes
- Ensure all the design outputs follow the brand guidelines for the Department
- Liaise with internal/external customers to develop concepts and manage and co-ordinate the scheduling and prioritising of design and/or multimedia tasks
- Provide creative input for internal and external projects and initiatives to include social media;
- Maintain the filing systems and ensure back up procedures are followed and that appropriate paperwork and/or administrative functions associated with any work related tasks are maintained/completed
- Generate fresh, cross-cutting, and up-to-date design and/or multimedia techniques to help support the delivery of the Department’s strategic objectives. This will include utilising design and/or multimedia to connect with target audiences
- Advise on design issues and present new opportunities to help take forward internal and external communications
- Ensure that colleagues are updated on progress against plans
- Typical design projects will involve designing posters, flyers, leaflets, multipage brochures, larger format graphics, online materials, consultations, signage, exhibition panels and other corporate documentation.
