Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Grave Digger Driver/Operative who embodies our values of respect, professionalism, and commitment to high-quality service. As a company that manages around 5000 burials annually and places a strong emphasis on robust processes, training, and compliance, we offer a supportive environment for growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grave digging using both manual techniques and mechanical machinery.
  • General cemetery maintenance ensuring the grounds are kept to the highest standards.
  • Preparing funeral sites with grass matting and boards.
  • Maintaining the aesthetic appeal of our cemetery.
  • Adhering to health & safety guidelines at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable experience with 180 and/or 360 digging equipment.
  • Relevant COTS (Construction or Cemetery Operative Training Scheme) certification.
  • Strong understanding of health & safety guidelines related to the role.
  • Prior experience in a similar grounds maintenance or cemetery role is advantageous.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence with category C1+E entitlement. No disqualifications and no more than 6 points on the licence.
