Freelance Interpreter
DA Languages is looking for speakers of other languages based in Greater Manchester to join our network of Freelance Interpreters.
We provide interpreters to a wide range of UK based public and private sector clients, from hospitals and councils to law firms and marketing agencies.
Due to our partnerships with some big clients in Greater Manchester, we are looking to expand our database, and this is a great opportunity to register with us.
We are looking for bilingual speakers with the confidence to accurately interpret for our clients and their non-English speaking service users.

Please note, each successful candidate must have the following:
Right to Work in the UK
Fluency in English and your chosen language(s) up to C1 level *We may conduct a telephone assessment and an online English proficiency test to verify this
Approx. 100 hours interpreting experience - either as a professional or through voluntary work
Enhanced DBS or equivalent *You can apply for an Enhanced DBS check through DA Languages if required
What will you be doing?
You will provide interpreting services for our clients across the area, including hospitals, GP practices, councils, and home visits. You will help our clients and their non-English speaking service users to communicate with each other, remaining professional and impartial. Using your language skills, you will allow the conversation to flow removing any language barriers. This will help ensure that non-English speakers receive the support they need.

Having one of the below qualifications is preferred, but not essential:
Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI)
Community Interpreting
National Registered (NRPSI)
Chartered Institute of Linguists Qualifications (CIOL)
Certificate in Bilingual Skills (CBS)
BA or MA in Translation, Interpreting, Languages or Linguistics
