Green Sector Growth Officer

Up to £30,927 per annum

This is supported by the work of the Net Zero Innovation Network, a group 30-plus businesses, academic institutions and public sector working collaboratively to deliver the themes emerging from the Essex Climate Action Commission. Together the pipeline will ensure joined up working and help to secure funding opportunity to deliver transformational green projects.
The role will work flexibly to support the Green Sector Growth team and the work of the Net Zero Innovation Network.
Accountabilities
- Support the Green Sector Growth Manager and Green Sector Development Lead in the operational delivery of Sustainable Growth and Economic Development activities.
- Act as central point of contact in ECC for the Net Zero Innovation Network.
- Responsible for supporting the Network through maintenance of its membership database.
- Work with the Green Growth Lead to identify suitable articles and information for dissemination to the wider business community. Liaising with external partners to collaborate and identify areas and projects to work on collaboratively, aligning with our ambitions for green growth.
- Responsible for the NZIN online presence, including social media accounts and comms and marketing materials, support the Green Growth Lead.
- Producing briefing, presentations and supporting materials to Members on the work of the Green Growth Team.
- Arranging and supporting conferences and events including supporting information and materials.
- Maintaining the NZIN and project shared areas and keeping officers involved and aware of offers and asks.
- Responsible for developing and managing business relationships with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for the Network.
- Engage with teams and partners to identify potential green projects.
- Support emerging projects where appropriate through providing secretariat/liaison
The Experience You Will Bring
- Educated to degree level and/or appropriate professional qualification relevant to the field or equivalent by experience
- Demonstrable evidence of building strong networks and working effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, influencing partners, and ensuring good relationship management
- Proven track record of effective project management
- Ability to provide good quality written and verbal reports & briefings
- Proven ability to use social media and other channels
- Good use of PowerPoint/visual media to convey key messages
