Greenscreen Video Content Specialist / Studio Technician
ROLE PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Studio Manager, the greenscreen technician is responsible for filming a portfolio of greenscreen based Video Content to engage and inspire our target audiences. Working closely with Visual Media Manager and video editors, this role responsibility is to set up, film and hand over greenscreen based content to a brief. In addition, the green screen video specialist will be working closely with Marketing Production in UK and India to ensure the content meets respective briefs.
Main Responsibilities
ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lighting techniques and best practices for greenscreen
Recording RAW footage
Audio studio recording techniques and best practices
Ability to direct subjects to deliver copy as briefed
Maintaining Greenscreen Video Content matching GEDU production standards
Optimise and tailor requirements of assets to fit various channel requirements, selecting best format for final output.
Continuously improve Greenscreen Video production and editing skills by keeping up with industry developments and tools.
Collaborate closely with clients to ensure brand consistency and understanding of their brand identity
Reviewing rushes, cataloguing, and creating rough cuts
Handing over the project to the post production team in India
Editing Greenscreen Videos
From brief through to end-product, create engaging and exciting greenscreen based Video Content for use across all channels including GEDU brands.
Project backup and archiving
Other Duties
Supporting Studio Manager in Media Production operations such as videocast, podcast and voiceovers
Supporting Visual Media Team in various marketing production outside the media studio setup (on campus shoots) -occasional
Equipment organisation and maintainace
To observe and implement health and safety Studio responsibilities as specified within comapany Health and Safety Policy.
Requirements
Essential Skills and Experience
We are looking for a driven individual with demonstrable strong experience in Greenscreen Video production (lighting, filming, sound) from concept through to execution. 2 years +
A degree in Videography, Sound Production or similar discipline would be useful.
Strong experience in video post-production – editing, grading, sound design and working with motion graphics.
Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio.
Utilise motion graphics and animations, to support storytelling and create original content.
Full and competent understanding video editing software. Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Audition
Experience of filming on Black Magic Studio Pro line, optional
Immaculate attention to detail.
Understanding of video compression and optimisation for web video and broadcast
Understanding of the Higher Education (HE) sector
Ability to work under pressure and confident in delivering polished assets to tight deadlines, while prioritising multiple projects simultaneously
