Ground Maintenance - Social Housing

We are looking for 2 gardeners / Ground Maintenance workers to work in and around Leeds on a temporary ongoing basis.
Work location - Leeds, however you will be required to attend sites in Wakefield / Harrogate / Ripon area
Hours of work - Monday to Friday, 8am - 4:30pm, 37.5 hours per week
Pay: 11.44 per hour PAYE
Duration: Seasonal Work - up to 6 months
As a Ground Maintenance worker, you will be responsible for:
- Mowing lawns, trimming hedges, pruning trees and shrubs, and removing weeds
- Litter picking, sweeping and clearing leaves and debris
- Applying fertilisers, pesticides and other treatments as required
- Reporting and repairing any damages or hazards on the grounds
- Working with other staff and contractors to ensure the smooth running of the service
- Communicating with residents and dealing with any queries or complaints in a polite and professional manner
- Following health and safety regulations and wearing appropriate protective equipment
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in Ground Maintenance or a similar field
- A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle
- A basic knowledge of gardening tools and equipment
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn new skills
- The ability to work as part of a team and independently
- The ability to deal with conflict situations and resolve issues effectively
