This is an opportunity to join our Award Winning Grounds Team to deliver a professional and effective grounds maintenance service. Both the grounds at the Singleton Park Campus and the Bay Campus have been awarded Green Flag status, making us the only Welsh dual campus University to currently have this prestigious award for both sites. The successful candidate will join this award-winning team who maintain the University's beautiful grounds. In this role you will be required to work as part of a team that carry out a wide range of horticultural tasks and associated works. After the relevant training you will be expected to operate a range of grounds maintenance machinery and equipment in order to provide a high quality, cost effective service for the University. Experience in an ornamental horticultural environment, sports grounds maintenance and relevant NVQ or equivalent qualifications are desirable. Candidates need to be physically fit to carry out the manual duties require for this position.Services are provided 7 days a week and working patterns will vary depending on business needs and will form any 5 days out of 7. The hours of work will be flexible worked on a rota basis and will include working evening and weekends as part of a rota. Due to the nature of the business operations there will be a requirement to work Christmas, Easter and Bank Holidays. Campus Services provide a wide range of roles across the university. As part of this role you will be required to support the Campus Services teams across the university.This is an opportunity to join an established, and continually developing service, which will provide prospects for individual continuous development.
