The Opportunity:
Are you an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative? Our client is seeking a dedicated Ground Maintenance Operative to join their team working on a number of mobile commercial contracts. As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you'll play a key role in ensuring our clients’ contracts run smoothly and successfully.
As a Grounds Maintenance Operative your responsibilities will include the following:
• Mowing lawns, trimming edges, and maintaining grass areas to ensure they are neat and well-presented.
• Pruning trees, shrubs, and bushes to maintain their health and appearance.
• Planting flowers, trees, and other greenery as directed by supervisors.
• Watering plants, lawns, and other green spaces as needed.
• Identifying and removing weeds from flowerbeds, pathways, and other areas.
• Reporting any equipment malfunctions or damage to supervisors for repair or replacement.
• Adhering to safety protocols and procedures to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
• Using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required when handling chemicals or operating equipment.
We are looking for a Grounds Maintenance Operative who has the following skills and qualifications:
• Full UK Driver’s License is essential
• 2 years industry experience.
• Experience in pedestrian and ride on mowing, hedge cutting, hand weeding, all general aspects of Grounds Maintenance.
• Willing to work by themselves when required.
• Team player.
• Pa1 Pa6 spraying license.
• Good knowledge of general health and safety.
• Clean criminal history.
