J5, SCP 7 – £12.59 p/hour (pay award pending)

Shrewsbury Town Council are looking for a Temporary Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our busy Grounds Maintenance Team from April until 27th September 2024.

The successful applicant will carry out Horticultural/Grounds Maintenance Duties including; grass cutting, strimming, shrub/rose bed maintenance, hedge cutting, pruning, sport and recreational area maintenance. The post holder will be required to work flexibly across all sites maintained by Shrewsbury Town Council.

Attention to detail and enthusiasm for the role is essential. You will be self-motivated with a desire to achieve high standards. Previous experience in a ground’s maintenance environment is preferable.

Training on the use of council equipment will be provided.
