We are looking for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team on the Trafford Account.At Trafford we work together with Trafford Council to empty bins, maintain the highway and look after parks and green spaces.
About the role:
- You will be involved in ground maintenance within the borough of trafford working in parks open spaces and on highway verges and a good knowledge of the area is an advantage.
- General maintenance, such as grass cutting,ride on mowing, hedge trimming, clearing leaves and litter, bowling green maintenance, pruning and seeding Setting out, making sports pitches Operate light plant and power tools Undertake vehicle, tractor, and cutting equipment checks
What are we looking for?
- Full driving licence Basic knowledge of gardening and horticulture operations General experience of Grounds Maintenance type duties
- Experience in operating ride on mowers, light plant and equipment and wheeled tractors
- Experience of horticulture operations including fine turf maintenance bowling greens, planting, pruning and seeding
- Understanding of Health and Safety Legislation COSHH 12D PA1 & PA6 (Pesticides) Ride on Cylinder Mower Strimmer hedge cutters and Tractor and Side Arm Flail
