Grounds Maintenance Operatives - Ref: EE06223
Full time contract
Salary: G4 - £23,893 to £25,979
Working within the operational section of Clean & Green Services, we are seeking motivated individuals who wish to develop a career in environmental services as a professional grounds operative.
Main activities include (but not limited to):
Grounds maintenance, horticulture, parks and countryside services i.e. grass maintenance, hedges, border maintenance, weeding, leaf clearance, etc.
Vegetation control (PA1 / PA6) - herbicide treatment
Graffiti removal
Floral displays and planters
Sports facility and fine turf maintenance including football, bowling, cricket etc
Play area inspections, reporting and maintenance
Burials and cemetery operations
Litter picking, manual sweeping, hoeing, removal of silt & detritus, weeds
Driving vehicles / plant up to 3.5 tonne (category Maximum BE)
Operating mechanical hoist / tail lift equipment / use of hand held equipment e.g. strimmers, hedge cutters etc.
Assisting drivers in accordance with route risk assessments and reversing manoeuvres and safe vehicles operations in accordance with ‘Driver Handbook’
Interested candidates should possess the following qualifications:
Hold/ Attain - PA1/PA6 qualification - NPTC Safe use of Pesticides
Full driving licence - CATEGORY Maximum BE/ Minimum B (please specify licence categories you hold on your application form)
