The Best Connection is currently hiring Garden/Ground Maintenance Operatives for ongoing contracts with our client in Rochester, Medway. This role presents the opportunity to transition into permanent positions for successful candidates. While prior experience is advantageous, it is not mandatory, as the company provides full PPE and comprehensive training for all team members.
**Responsibilities:**
As a Ground Maintenance Operative, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team in the Medway Towns. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the maintenance of green spaces, including weeding, strimming, planting, and grass cutting.
- Clearing rubbish and emptying bins.
**Requirements:**
To succeed in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Previous experience in Grounds Maintenance is preferred.
- Possession of a full UK driving license with no disqualifications and a maximum of 6 points for insurance purposes.
- Own transport for commuting to and from the site.
**Working Conditions:**
- Year-round opportunities are available; the work is not confined to specific seasons.
- Initial roles are temporary, with the potential for permanent positions after a successful trial period, accompanied by a salary increase.
- Full-time opportunities are open for all candidates.
**Salary and Benefits:**
- £10.90 per hour, with overtime rates for weekends paid at time and a half and double time.
