The Grounds Maintenance Worker will be required to Carry out all aspects of Grounds Maintenance on the High Post site.
This is to ensure the site is kept to an above average standard and presentable at all times.
The responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):
- Grass Cutting - This will include the regular inspection of all trees on site to determine Carry out all aspects of grass cutting across site which will include small lawned areas to large proofing fields, Production areas which will include mounding protection around buildings, sensitive areas where permission will be sought prior to entry. To carry out these tasks you will require Knowledge and experience in the use of Tractor driven Gang mowers, sit on mowers and Strimmer’s.
- Hedge Maintenance - This will include the cutting and general upkeep of the site perimeter hedge internally and externally, including an annual inspection of the perimeter fencing.
- Weed Control - This will include the treatment and removal of all weeds and vegetation on site by means of spraying. The use of knapsack sprayers is essential and the use of weed control substances.
- Flower beds - The upkeep of all flower beds on site and in carparks, the planting of flowers and shrubs when required.
- Dead wood and Leaves - The removal of dead wood across site from trees, shrubs and hedges, the removal of leaves across site to ensure a clean and tidy site throughout the year.
- Site Maintenance - Assisting in all aspects of site maintenance as required. This will include with the collection of general site waste, the clearing of Snow through winter months and any reasonable task that may be requested of you
Grounds Maintenance Worker Specification:
- Right to live and work in the UK
- Knowledge of Tractor driving, use of gang mowers, strimmer’s, chainsaws, blowers and all Grounds Maintenance equipment.
- 1 Years experience in Grounds maintenance
- Proficient in MS Office
This role will be worked over a 4.5 day week; Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 16:45 and Friday 08:00 – 12:30. Flexibility in this role is critical to the success of supporting the team.
