About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an all rounder to join our team to develop and maintain our extensive Gardens & Grounds across our extensive estate. The Waitrose Farm.
At Leckford we have Longstock Park Water Garden which is open to the public during the Summer months, an extensive Arboretum and wildflower meadows, Kitchen Garden and a number of other gardens and amenity features across the estate.
Some of your key responsibilities will include
Efficiently undertake all horticultural and grounds maintenance tasks as requested across the estate , ensuring high levels of craftsmanship. The tasks will involve using a wide range of Horticultural Machinery including Tractors and ride- on equipment and chainsaws. Occasionally you may be required to assist with Estate events and Garden openings.
Essential Skills
A consistent well -motivated person
NVQ Level 2 Amenity Horticulture
Mechanical skills/ Knowledge of machinery
DVLA full driving licence.
Tractor Driving skills.
Chainsaw operators certificate
Minimum 2 years practical experience professional Grounds Maintenance/ Gardening.
PA1 & PA6a spraying certificates.
Desirable Skills
Small tree felling certificate
NPTC Brushwood chipper certificate.
