Groundsman

To work as part of a team to maintain the College playing fields and general grounds. The hours of work are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 4.15pm. There will be an unpaid lunch break of 30 minutes and a rest break of 20 minutes each morning. Given the seasonal nature of the role, there is a need for flexibility with regard to longer working hours, which may, on occasion, include evenings and weekends.

Remuneration NJC scale Point 3 - currently under review.

The person appointed will be entitled to an initial allocation of 34 days’ holiday per year and, after 5 years’ continuous service, an additional 4 days. Annual holidays should largely be taken outside term time and must be agreed in advance with the Estates Manager.
