Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for an exciting opportunity in Hertfordshire? My client is a leading specialist in Groundworks, Demolition, Formwork, and Plant Hire. They are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to contribute to our success in delivering high-quality projects in the Hertfordshire and South East region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be a crucial part of a small team responsible for all commercial aspects of multi-groundwork projects.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, client representatives, and counterparts.
- Visit project sites to discuss, assess, and record works, attending site progress meetings as required.
- Prepare and submit monthly applications for payment, including the recovery of variations.
- Review labour, plant, and material records for valuation monitoring purposes.
- Ensure timely receipt of payment notices/advice for submitted applications.
- Review payment notices for discrepancies and engage with surveying counterparts to discuss and reach agreement.
- Report and discuss the project's status with the team, providing regular updates.
- Assist in the pricing of estimating quotations, involving measuring, billing, and pricing preparations.
- Collaborate with the construction team, offering pricing and quantity advice.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Groundworks Surveyor in a similar role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a small team environment.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Full UK driving license.
