Group Chief Executive

Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) and United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) provide community, acute and specialist services across Lincolnshire and its neighbouring counties. The Trusts serve one of the largest geographical areas in England, with a population of over 750,000; we collectively employ over 11,000 staff with an annual combined income approaching £900 million.

LCHS is rated as ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC and delivers a wide range of community healthcare services across Lincolnshire, enabling patients and families to access care and support at, or as close to, home as possible. ULHT is on a rapid and successful improvement journey and provides a comprehensive range of hospital based medical, surgical, paediatric, obstetric and gynaecological services, primarily operating across four hospital sites: Lincoln, Boston, Grantham and Louth. Our Trusts have been working increasingly closely together and are committed to seeking out all collaborative opportunities that ensure we make the best use of our resources and enabling our dedicated staff to deliver joined up care for the populations we serve.

Following our recent successful Group Chair appointment, we are now taking the next positive step forward and seeking to appoint a joint Group Chief Executive to lead the further transformation and integration of care for our populations. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced, inspirational, and innovative leader to shape this new strategic position and its underpinning Group structure.  Maximising our intention to improve the experience and outcomes for our populations and working jointly with other partners across our ICS; you will bring your vision for reducing health inequalities and achieving sustainable health and care services for the future.  

As our new Group Chief Executive, you will bring a proven track record of delivering transformational change within a large, complex organisation in health, care or related sectors.  An inclusive and visionary leader who shares our values, you will build on our successes to date and bring your strong engagement skills to quickly build trust and credibility with our staff, partners and the populations we serve. Comfortable with high levels of public accountability and operating as a system leader, your passion for continuous improvement, robust governance and strong quality and financial performance will be evident.  This is an exceptional and unique opportunity for an exceptional individual to lead two Trusts who are committed to working together to deliver the highest quality care for the people of Lincolnshire and beyond.
