Subsea7 is looking for a Group Communications Advisor to join the Group Communications team in our Sutton, London office on a permanent basis.

We are seeking a candidate with a passion for internal communications, to help achieve Subsea7’s objectives. You’ll promote and protect Subsea7’s reputation as a global leader in the delivery of offshore projects and services for the energy industry.

The role has an internal communications focus where the Group Communications Advisoris responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the Group’s communications strategy in line with business and company objectives, communications processes and brand guidelines, ensuring messaging and activities are consistent, impactful and engaging.

Key responsibilities:

  • Close working, coordination and engagement with Group Internal Communications Manager to support the development, planning and implementation of Subsea7’s global internal communications strategy and annual plan, in line with company strategy
  • Development and delivery of engaging internal communications content in line with Subsea7’s internal communications plan eg campaign development, development of employee engagement materials, recognition materials including Yearbook and various videos.
  • Day-to-day maintenance, support and development of Subsea7 internal employee engagement communications channels including global emails and videos, 7CONNECT intranet, Engage, Stream, Teams and selected SharePoint sites
  • Actively create and produce articles and content for all our employee engagement channels and campaigns
  • Event management support for internal communications events and engagement activities (eg town hall meetings, senior manager meetings, management briefings, webinars and other internal events, both face-to-face and virtual)
  • Brand management – ensures communications activities consistently adhere to Subsea7 brand guidelines, including Being7, employer brand guidelines
  • Production of presentation material and content
  • When required, to be hands-on in supporting aspects of the development and implementation of Subsea 7’s external communications activities and other corporate activities

Other

  • Provide expert communications advice to corporate functions, business areas and regions
  • Liaise with relevant suppliers and agencies – creative design agencies, web agencies, video producers, exhibition contractors, ER consultants, media and writers
  • Liaise with client and partner communications teams and other relevant interfaces
  • Supporting member of the Global Emergency Response team
  • Content management of Subsea7 image library
  • Budget management support
  • Other projects and activities as required
  • Occasional travel may be required

Capability profile / Qualifications:

  • Creative, flexible and adaptable to suit nature of working in fast moving global communications environment
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
  • Excellent verbal communications
  • Strong copywriting and business writing skills
  • Solid stakeholder relationship building skills
  • Able to translate dry, technical content into human, engaging stories
  • Self-motivated individual capable of working with minimal direction
  • High degree of computer literacy, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Teams Events Live, SharePoint, Word, Excel and PowerPoint experience essential
  • Well-versed in SharePoint Online and intranet day-to-day management
  • Graphics design skills and experience with Adobe graphics packages preferable
  • Ability to tailor communications to diverse audiences
  • Ability to work both strategically and operationally
  • Strong project management and planning skills to manage multiple stakeholders and concurrent projects
  • Experience of working in a large multinational company
