Group Finance Director (+ Statutory Director)

A major FMCG Food Manufacturer is currently recruiting for a Group Finance Director (+ Statutory Director) with a strong operations focus to provide leadership, technical financial expertise and robust governance to the Board and the business, creating a high performance and engaged culture, embracing the company values and behaviours to realise the overall vision and purpose. This role will assume responsibility for the Finance and IT departments and form part of the Senior Leadership Team.

You will be a Finance Director with experience working in a large FMCG Manufacturing business and need to live within commutable distance from the Cheshire plant. This role is site based with flex hybrid working but my client will not consider applicants not living within commutable distance from site.

The Group Finance Director will have a proven finance track record at senior leadership team level/previous Board experience and experience gained in an FMCG competitive consumer brand-led sectors

Group Finance Director responsibilities include:

• As a member of the Group Executive Board, shared responsibility for shaping the strategic direction/performance of the business.
• On an ongoing basis, monitor performance in line with market trends; focus on cutting costs and preserving cash
• Manage business financial performance - including reporting consolidated Group/BU budget/accounts
• Provide comprehensive management information to alert the Board of any significant trends or issues within the Group
• Leadership of the Finance function, with a strong emphasis on developing the team’s capabilities.
• Governance and company secretarial/risk management & insurance
• Have executive responsibility for company administration; facilities oversight: utilities/lease/rent/rates contracts; payroll, pensions & benefits.

You will be a Finance Director with experience working in a large FMCG Manufacturing business and need to live within commutable distance from site in Cheshire. This role is site based with flex hybrid working once up to speed. My client will not consider applicants not living within commutable distance from site.

This Group Finance Director will need experience of implementing change and supporting a business through a period of transformation and be a qualified accountant / professional Accounting Standards.

The Group Finance Director will need advanced Communication Strategy, Business Partnering and Commercial awareness and Strategic Mindset.
