Group L&D Advisor

Permanent

Bristol | Cardiff

£28,000 P/A plus Benefits

Smart Solutions Group are searching for a talented Recruiter to join us. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the development and success of our recruiters, both new and existing.

This role will support the Group companies to create an overall culture of learning. The L&D Advisor will have full accountability for the training and development of new starters and existing staff.

From day 1 onboarding and induction through to probation training and further career development, the L&D Advisor will ensure that each employee is fully equipped to fulfil their role and meet Group expectations.

This position can be based from either our Cardiff or Bristol offices, you will be required to travel between the offices 1- 2 per week

Main Duties

  • Help to shape the Learning and Development strategy for the Group to create a culture of learning.
  • Create and manage the organisation's training and development activities in order to ensure that training activities are conducted efficiently, cost-effectively and in accordance with the specific organisation's policies and standards;
  • Work closely with HR & line managers to identify current training gaps within the Group identified through performance management processes;
  • Drive the on-boarding process and ensure a clear pathway for employees within their first 6 months of employment;
  • Seek out feedback and day-to-day challenges from employees in the Group to create bespoke and relevant training solutions.
  • Work with Heads of Department to create bespoke departmental and operational training for both new starters and existing staff;
  • Update the Skills Training system with any training history and certificates once training is completed;
  • Prepare Training material for each course, including sign off and feedback forms;
  • Support and lead on L&D projects from concept through to implementation and embedment.
  • Develop and promote the E-Learning Management System.
  • Support the performance development cycle, providing appropriate advice, guidance, and insights reporting.
  • Conduct learning needs analyses and provide recommendations.
  • Measure the quality, impact, and effectiveness of L&D interventions and programmes.
  • Build and maintain relationships internally and externally.
  • Regular reporting for Senior Leadership Teams.
  • Utilise the Group Apprenticeship levy to aid professional development throughout employees and adopt a culture of continuous learning.
  • Work in strong collaboration with other advisors on the team.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in the Recruitment industry is essential;
  • Experience of delivery within the required area of training;
  • Passionate about people development and organisational development;
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Work effectively within a team
  • Previous experience in a training role or similar; desirable
  • Train the trainer qualification; desirable
  • Full UK Driving License; desirable
