Established in 1984, Reflections Academy Bristol City Centre is home to hundreds of students starting their careers in Barbering, Hairdressing and beyond. With our Tutors being key to the success of our Apprentices, we are currently looking for a Hairdressing Tutor Assessor to further expand our Team.
In this exciting role, you will use your expertise, knowledge and skills to deliver and assess our Hairdressing qualifications and support and inspire each Learner to achieve an outstanding learning and assessment experience. Working closely with the Academy Director and the Hairdressing and Barbering team, you will participate in team meetings and contribute to the planning, development and review of all activities within Hairdressing.
To excel in this role you will:
- Have a passion for Hair and enjoy delivering training to young people in developing their individual needs and skills.
- Engage with Employers and confident to support the sustainability and growth of the provision.
- A D32/33 –A1 CAVA (preferred, not essential or significant/sufficient experience in Hairdressing)
- Have strong communication skills, friendly approachable and able to initiate ideas
- Be driven to achieve targets and support management in achieving set goals.
- Have an ability to prioritise, good organisational skills and able to adhere to deadlines and targets.
- Have a flexible approach and able to inspire and motivate your learning.
- Be passionate about supporting learners including the delivery and assessment of all apprenticeships, standards and full-time programmes.
- Enjoy working with young people to develop their personal skills and support them to develop and progress within their career.
- Be able to work with learners and employers in raising the standards, quality of training and maintaining the grade 1 provision offered
- Be able to work with young people in developing the personal skills and supporting them to develop with their chosen career
- Be able to support the delivery of underpinning of knowledge through training sessions workshops and contribute towards the delivery of new standards
- Prepare all workshops and sessions to be prepared offering inspiring engaging and interactive delivery in promoting the industry skills required and future job roles.
- Monitor learner progress and performance in meeting their individual needs, aspirations and set targets
- Schedule timely visits and carry out assessments/training within the workplace and monitor their individual plan against their personal progression
- Demonstrate high quality training with up to date standards to an advanced level
- Have excellent communication skills with a high level of personal presentation/team player/friendly and professional
- A driving licence is essential with access to your own vehicle
