The role is to produce handwoven fabric on a production wooden handloom starting from March 2024 under the direction of Isabella Stefanelli
The studio is a unit in Stratford, London E15 in a former printing works date 1800. The contract will be discussed upon experience and expectations. Can be either freelancer or employee full time, or part time with rota Depends on experience and ability to meet the target/meterage and quality.
Skills and Experience Required
Hand weaver who has experince or is willing to work on a treadles production loom.
It is required a neat work and to work at best paste in order to meet target.
An initial day or 2 of adaptation to the loom is considered.
