One years experience of working within a Harbour and/or Marina operational management role to include:(a) Application of Harbour and Marinas legislation to ensure compliance and health and safety standards.(b) Developing and maintaining effective partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders.(c) Resolving complex service delivery issues and implementing improvements to services.(d) Achievement of increased income and/or efficiencies.(e) Experience in a marine environment including Harbour and Marina operations, boat handling skills, understanding tidal conditions and radio operation.Experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications to include: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.A full current driving licence (Category B, valid in the UK) and access to a vehicle that will enable the post holder to meet the requirements of the post OR have access to a form of transport that enables you to carry out the duties of the post.The nature of the post will require flexible working to include early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays in accordance with operational requirements. , VHF Short Range Radio Certificate (SRRC) or similar marine radio operator's certificate of competence.Current first aid certificate.RYA certificate in Yacht Master/Day Skipper.One of the following qualifications:Class 1 Masters Certificate of Competency (or equivalent);Class 2 Chief Mate Certificate of Competency or an OOW certificate;UK Harbour Master Certificate as validated by the UK Harbour Masters Association.
