Job Title: Hawk Armament Supervisor

The role
As a Hawk Armament Supervisor, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. The Hawk Armament Supervisor is responsible to the Seat Bay Senior Supervisor for safe, compliant and effective Ejection Seat Bay maintenance activities, role bay maintenance and AMRO ejection seat removal/installation in support of Hawk operations at RAF Valley.
Day to day, you'll ensure that all Hawk Ejection Seat tasks are completed in a safe and efficient manner, on time and to the highest standard, as well as:
  • Check that all equipment required for tasking is available and reporting all deficiencies. And ensuring all tool control procedures IAW the relevant Acceptable Means of Compliance are followed.
  • Maintain and prepare explosively operated equipment and pyrotechnics in support of Hawk T1 & T2 depth maintenance. And the production of pre-printed work cards/Sapphire and maintenance procedures/Trilogy view/IMS.
  • Monitor the work carried out by employees under his/her control to ensure that they conform to current regulations and that documentation is promptly and accurately completed. And monitoring the handling, distribution, and satisfaction of engineering instructions (MODs, RTI's, UTI's STIs, Sis, IEDB's etc.) and their associated reporting procedures.
  • Assist with the management of Staff Performance & Development. Ensuring only suitably trained, qualified and authorised personnel are used to complete work employing external suppliers.

This role is Full time and based onsite at RAF Valley.
Essential experience of the Hawk Armament Supervisor:
  • Relevant current industry experience, including Hawk T2 or T1 AAES depth/bay maintenance on Martin Baker ejections seats Type 10LH or 10B. or a Completed a Martin Baker type ejection seat course.
  • Experience of working with AAES in a bay maintenance environment. And maintaining and arming/disarming of explosively operated equipment and pyrotechnics.
  • Training in relevant discipline Mechanical/Electrical to City and Guilds Level or level 3 equivalent (completed an apprenticeship)
  • Full Driving Licence
  • Working knowledge and use of IT Operating Systems (MS Office Suite) and the Internet.

Qualifications for the Hawk Armament Supervisor:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve BPSS security clearance for this role.
