Job description

My client is a major manufacturer & distributor of solvents, chemicals and consumables in the UK. They sell into multiple market sectors such as Healthcare, Automotive, Manufacturing and Environmental. In addition to their manufactured solvent products they also have exclusive agreements to distribute other products to these sectors including lubricants, underbody coatings, fillets, paints and much more. Their customer base is extensive and predominately UK based.Due to expansion, there is now an exciting opportunity for a passionate Waste Sales Manager to join their dynamic team. In this role you will look to deliver profitable Hazardous Waste management solutions. The business pride themselves on their comprehensive waste recovery and collection service that is tailored specifically for solvents and chemicals and they want to continue to drive and develop this side of the business. Within their Waste Transfer Station they ensure that all Hazardous Waste materials are handled and disposed of in a responsible and eco-friendly manner.What you'll be doing;• Secure appropriate new business at required margins from a wide variety of new customers• Identify relationships that could be targeted or strengthened to grow the waste business• Deliver on price negotiations with customers in line with market values• Work alongside the commercial team to ensure that negotiations are leveraged correctly• Undertake market sector analysis to develop sales strategies to deliver new business• Hold ongoing reviews with customers to continually develop business and relationships• Conduct risk assessments on customer sites• Undertake customer visits covering the UK as required to build and maintain strategic relationshipsWhat we're looking for;• The ability to develop and target new business• Hazardous Waste Sales and customer service experience to build strong enduring relationships• Strong, current knowledge of the Hazardous Waste market throughout the UK• Good chemistry knowledge• High energy levels and a proactive approach• Resilience under pressure and the ability to deliver difficult messages at times whilst maintaining the relationship• Comfortable with regular travel around the UK• The ability to conduct risk assessmentsSalary circa £45 – 60k dependent on experience.Company car, Laptop and Mobile.25 days holiday plus stats.Generous bonus scheme
