Position: HCA Team Leader

As an HCA Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and supervising a team of Healthcare Assistants to ensure the provision of high-quality care and assistance to our clients' residents. In addition to the responsibilities of a Healthcare Assistant, you will oversee the daily operations of the team, coordinate care plans, and act as a point of contact for residents and their families. Position Details:

• Position: HCA Team Leader
• Location: Southport
• Hours per Week: 36
• Hourly Rate: £12.20
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 Required 

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading and supervising a team of Healthcare Assistants.
• Assisting residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
• Administering medication in accordance with the prescribed guidelines.
• Supporting residents with daily activities, such as meal preparation, eating, and mobility.
• Monitoring and recording residents' vital signs and reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
• Providing emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents.
• Collaborating effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a care setting or similar role is needed
• Compassionate and empathetic nature with a genuine interest in the well-being of elderly individuals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership abilities and the ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Respect for privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
