Job description

Our workforce at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board comprises of over 16,000 people, and roughly a third of these are staff in non registered roles named ‘Health Care Support Workers’ (HCSW). This role will support effective and efficient education provision training for HCSW across the organisation, by providing training and assessing learner competencies and progress.
We are recruiting several new roles, these include Clinical Skills Practitioner (B6 manager of team), 2x HCSW Skills Trainers Band 4, and an additional B3 administrator. These new roles and will be part of a small team focused on promoting, and championing Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) development, to ensure HCSW are inducted, and on an appropriate pathway of learning commensurate with their role.

  • To support the Clinical Skills Practitioner to design, deliver and evaluate the All-Wales HCSWInduction programme
  • The post holder will carry out the role of delivering induction training and the role of assessing learners' competencies
  • The post holder will contribute to the supporting, monitoring and recording compliance to ensure the All-Wales Framework is met.
  • The post holder will complete all necessary record keeping in relation to HCSW competencies, complying with Agored Cymru regulations
