We have an exciting opportunity for an Evaluation Lead to join the new Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC) at Southampton City Council (SCC). The post holder will play a key role in evaluating Southampton’s HDRC and developing resources to support a culture of evaluation in Southampton City Council.

You will work closely with stakeholders, including members of our local community to co-produce a framework and lead on the evaluation of HDRC Southampton, including an evaluation of our approach to Public Involvement and Community Engagement. You will also develop a framework for evaluating SCC projects and programmes, and support staff to use it to conduct in-house evaluations.

Educated to post-graduate level, or with equivalent experience, you will have experience of developing evaluation frameworks and evaluating projects and programmes. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to translate complex, scientific language and concepts into easily understood materials.

  • Please note the salary quoted is based on full time hours (37 hours per week)
  • The working hours for this role are 37 hours per week (5 days per week) 
  • This post is fixed term until 31st December 2028.
  • Please note that appointments are usually made at the bottom of the salary scale.
