Higher Education Lecturer in Building Surveying and/or Construction
Management
Salary range: Spine point - 34-38 (£40306 - 45346) plus excellent pension benefits + generous annual leave

The Role
An experienced lecturer is required to teach and facilitate learning for the Construction
and The Built Environment students managing modules, learning courses and
assessment, and contributing to pastoral systems and curriculum innovation,
development and implementation of a new course of technical modules.
The suitable candidate will provide an excellent learning experience to ensure the
individual student gains the appropriate skills in readiness for employment and of
progress onto university to complete their degree.
Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will hold a full teaching qualification and hold or be working
towards PGCE or equivalent qualification. To be successful in this role, you'll need
to have excellent theoretical knowledge in engineering discipline, excellent
interpersonal and communication skills and be able to effectively motivate and
inspire students. You'll also have exceptional organisational skills combined with
good IT knowledge and sound administration skills. You will have experience of
delivering lectures to level 4 and above on Construction & Built Environment
modules. You will have the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
committed to quality delivery and can manage a diverse workload including meeting
targets within set timescales
