Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the housekeeping staff to ensure cleanliness and orderliness of all residents rooms and communal areas
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Train new housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and customer service skills
- Conduct regular inspections of bedrooms and communal areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards
- Coordinate with other departments to fulfill residents requests and resolve any housekeeping-related issues
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper stock levels are maintained
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to address any repairs or maintenance needs in residents rooms or communal areas
- Knowledge in Health and Safety legislation, COSSH requirements
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Care home housekeeping operations and procedures
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Ability to effectively communicate with staff, residents, and other departments
- Problem-solving skills to address any issues or challenges that may arise
- Ability to work well under pressure in a care home
