Head of Actuarial Projects

Aptuary is working on an exciting opportunity with a leading insurance company who are looking for a senior qualified actuary to join as the Head of Actuarial Projects.

Responsibilities:

• This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a growing organisation, working across multiple complex change projects at a time of considerable transformation and investment in our actuarial reporting capability.
• This is an interesting and varied role covering the actuarial reporting aspects within a wide range of projects such as Integrations, Part VIIs, Capital optimisation, Internal Model projects, Data migrations, Asset related projects.
• Lead a team of senior project actuaries and change teams to deliver complex change across a number of strategic change projects to ensure the Finance Reporting Centre supports business ambitions in line with business strategic objectives. This will require you to act as project sponsor and/or Steering Group representative on a large number of strategic projects concurrently

Skills and Experience:

• The successful candidate will have a track record of successfully leading and delivering complex actuarial reporting change. Both managing complex and potentially competing priorities and excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills will be critical to being successful in this role.
• You will ideally have Experience of building and running multi-disciplinary financial reporting and change teams, along with a detailed knowledge of Actuarial reporting systems and processes. Knowledge of key reporting metrics including Solvency II, knowledge of IFRS-17 and actuarial concepts relevant to actuarial reporting, and Knowledge of insurance products and markets and experience working with UK and European reporting regulation will be extremely beneficial.
