This is a newly created position which is perfect for the right candidate to get their teeth into. With a combination of technical capability, man-management of a large team, as well as ExCo stakeholder engagement, it's a fantastic role for a seasoned professional.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Set the strategic direction for Actuarial Systems, as well as seeking to deliver changes to the Actuarial Valuation platform and reporting systems. You will be the lynch-pin, being as the internal sponsor on pivotal strategic projects.
Team Management: Oversee a talented team of 30-40 professionals, including architects, actuaries, software engineers, and specialists in testing and release management.
Innovation: Challenge the status quo and foster innovation in actuarial reporting systems, utilising a tech stack that includes R/Python.
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with senior stakeholders, including the Executive Committee, to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
Experience:
Proven experience in designing and developing end-to-end actuarial reporting systems. Ideally strong proficiency in Cloud-based Actuarial Valuation Platforms. Tech Stack: Familiarity with R/Python.
