Our client is currently on the lookout for an exciting opportunity to work as a Head of Architecture to play a key part in the developments of the strategic plans and technical roadmaps for the IT department ensuring these satisfy the current and on-going needs of the organisation.
- Define a set of architectural principles ensuring there is a holistic view of the current and future direction of the business and IT
- Oversight of the Technical, Solution and Information layers of the organisations enterprise architecture
- Define and approve the technical, data and application architecture, communicating it to suppliers and service providers
- Work with senior business stakeholders to develop a roadmap of the digital transformation based cloud innovation platforms such as M365, Azure, Amazon Web Services
- Create and oversee commissioning processes to commission and prioritise in-house development of new digital services in support of the digital and mobile transformation roadmaps
- Play an active role within governance, representing the IT Branch at boards and meetings.
- Ensures governance mechanism and authorities are in place to direct, monitor and evaluate compliance against set objectives
The following skills and experience will be beneficial for the role:
- Significant management experience in Agile delivery of digital transformation and at least Enterprise Architecture or Testing or UX analysis and design
- Practical experience in the management of IT contracts/managed services.
- Experience within an IT governance role. Setting, directing and monitoring governance objectives in alignment with the enterprise objectives and in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Experience of planning, designing and budgeting an IT organisation/department, demonstrating the ability to meet organisational demands and handle change within timescales.
- Track record of positively representing an IT organisation/department, building and strengthening key multiple stakeholder relationships to support business delivery, change and reputation
