Key responsibilities of the Head of Building and Fire Safety:
- Accountable for the FRA programme, including the validation of associated risks
- Develop and review commercial approach of contracts to ensure assets are maintained in a way which maximises value for money
- Accountable for performance of contracts to ensure they are delivered in alignment with buisness and commercial needs
- Ensure all assets under management meet compliance standard
- Lead on building safety resident engagement and esure that tenant and leaseholder voices are at the heart of the approach
Essential skills for the Head of Building and Fire Safety:
- Degree in Fire Engineering or similar building discipline
- Membership to IFE (GIFireE, AIFireE or MIFireE)
- Membership to IFSM (AIFSM or MIFSM)
- Nebosh Certificate in Fire Safety or equivalent
- Experience managing a team
- Ideally experience within social housing
