Job description

A market-leading Property Consultancy is actively seeking a Head of Building Surveying to join their multidisciplinary team.

This role is situated within a firm renowned for its exceptional performance and quality of service, offering a diverse range of projects across commercial, education, hotel, retail, and industrial sectors.

The Head of Building Surveying's role

As the Head of Building Surveying, you will be at the forefront of professional and project instructions, spearheading initiatives in dilapidations for both landlords and tenants, acquisition surveys and due diligence, party wall matters, and insurance reinstatement valuations.

  • Lead the Building Surveying team, driving new business, forecasting, and ensuring the delivery of services meets the consultancy's high standards.
  • Manage a diverse project portfolio, providing expert advice and solutions in dilapidations, acquisition surveys, party wall matters, and more.
  • Engage with a variety of clients across multiple sectors, delivering tailored surveying services that align with their unique needs.
  • Play a pivotal role in team development, fostering a culture of excellence and mentorship within the team.

The successful Head of Building Surveying will have?

  • MRICS qualified.
  • Previous line management and business development experience.
  • Significant experience in Building Surveying within a consultancy environment, preferably with a multidisciplinary firm.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team, with a track record of generating new business and delivering projects successfully.
  • Strong technical knowledge across a variety of surveying services, including dilapidations, acquisition surveys, party wall matters, and insurance reinstatement valuations.
  • Excellent communication and client management skills, with the ability to maintain and grow client relationships.
