Head of Business Development, Basingstoke (hybrid working), £75,000 plus bonus

The purpose of this role:

As Head of Business Developmentyou will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the company within the  automotive landscape. Using your extensive background in OEM operations, you will identify strategic opportunities, forge key partnerships, and drive revenue growth.

Rubicon’s client is a well-established manufacturer of electronics products specifically designed to meet the varied demands of various sectors. Through constantly improving their processes and products they produce high quality products to the best standard possible, while adhering to legislation and quality standards.

As well a competitive salary as Head of Business Development you will benefit from : £5,000 car allowance, profit related company bonus, private pension, 32 days holiday (inc BH), free parking, early finish on a Fridays and a modern working environment.

As Head of Business Development, your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Business Development strategy tailored to the unique needs of the automotive OEM sector
  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with key stakeholders within automotive OEMs, fostering collaboration and driving mutually beneficial partnerships
  • Stay aHead of industry trends and market dynamics, conducting thorough analysis to identify emerging opportunities and threats
  • Drive revenue growth through innovative product offerings, strategic alliances, and effective negotiation strategies

Skills & experience as Head of Business Development:

  • Proven track record of success in Business Development within the automotive OEM sector / electronic controls technology sector
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and empower cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a keen eye for identifying and capitalising on market opportunities.
  • Strong Business Development experience with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport and develop robust relationships
