Job description

As the Head of Commercial Operations, you will have an entrepreneurial spirit with customers, team members and local communities. You will lead the team to ensure a great place for people to work and visit.

The Family Parks Group is a leisure-based company with Holiday Parks and visitor attractions across the South and East of England. Your role will be based in Battle, East Sussex, however due to the nature of the role you may have to travel to our other sites and the hours will be driven by the needs of the business and working some evenings/weekends may be necessary.

We are looking for a Head of Commercial Operations to join our rapidly expanding business and friendly team.

This is an exciting opportunity to use your knowledge and ideas to manage all aspects of revenue generation and cost control across the group.

Reporting to the Directors you will be responsible for:

- Leading a team to create a culture where our customer experience is line with our branding. Always challenging our group goals and thinking of new ways to serve our customers

- Working hard to get the best from the team

- Taking the lead on all people activities including recruitment, induction, training and development. Ensuring you build an inclusive culture where everyone is empowered to deliver great customer experiences and memories

- Building and managing relationships, understanding the role our brand plays in supporting the local community

- Driving revenue across the group including food, beverage, leisure and retail

- Monitoring and maintaining cost controls to ensure efficiency

- Developing close working relationships with other managers across the group to understand what each business requires

- Review trading opportunities

- Focus on key financial drivers and manage stock levels

- Spot problems at early stages and resolve

- Help deliver events, including managing staff, retail outlets and support to managers

- Ensure events run smoothly and meet customer expectations

Ideally you will have:

- prior experience in customer facing, service focused environments such as retail or F&B

- Ability to coach, motivate and inspire in order to create a successful team culture

- ability to influence, listen and understand other perspectives to inspire and think broadly about new ways of doing things

- a passion for rolling up your sleeves to support the team in delivering the brand objectives

- high level of resilience and the ability to work through problems

- Level 3 (or equivalent) in Food Hygiene and knowledge of Health & Safety

You will play a vital role in our business and have a huge impact on our success and in return will get:
