The Role
This is a rare and complex Risk and Compliance role and our client is looking for an extraordinary candidate. Reporting directly to the Managing Partner your role will include but not be exclusive to:
Overseeing the firm's compliance and risk management frameworks.
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to shape the firm's risk and compliance function and really make a big impact on their strategic planning and risk management. The right candidate will be able to make the role their own with lots of support from senior stakeholders.
The role will comprise of a number of elements including:
Advising partners and the wider team on a range of risk and compliance queries
Preparing managerial reports
Working in close collaboration with the partners of the firm to handle and investigate complaints
Liaising with third parties and wider stakeholders within the firm
Assisting the Data Protection Manager comply with data protection legislation
About you:
To be considered for this role you will be an experienced solicitor and have a credible work history in dealing with contentious matters. You will have an analytical approach to work and first-hand experience of managing and advising on often complex legal compliance issues.
You will need to be comfortable being visible and accessible to the wider team and be available to respond to ongoing compliance issues within the business. In addition to the above you will be confident working autonomously and be able to project manage and troubleshoot on-going problems to resolution. You will need to be people focused and adopt a "collaborative" approach to work. If you are an experienced Risk and Compliance Lawyer with an understanding of SRA standards and regulations, GDPR best practices, and AML compliance then I would love to hear from you.
