The role will be based in the Midlands, with hybrid working. The organisation is a market-leading blue chip Plc.
Description
- Ownership of the accounting and Group reporting, for monthly internal management and statutory purposes. Preparation of the statutory financial statements for the head office entities.
- Accounting for share-based compensation arrangements. Working with remuneration advisors on the grant of new awards, preparation of ERS returns to HMRC.
- Calculation of the IFRS 2 charge to be posted monthly .
- Posting and reconciliation of the Group ledgers and cost centers
- Management and control of the group's intercompany balances.
- Key point of contact to support Treasury accounting
- Work with the Group Finance team to prepare high quality reports at particularly busy periods
- Work with Group Finance Systems team to develop appropriate system enhancements and changes as required
- Working with both external and internal auditors
Profile
The successful candidate will be a technically strong qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA), who has trained with a 'Big Four' accountancy firm and already have a track record of Plc reporting.
In conjunction with technical accounting skills, you will be self-motivated and willing to contribute to wider team objectives.
