Head of Corporate Accounting

This is an ideal time to be joining this FTSE listed business, to take ownership of the accounting and reporting for the Head Office entities. This will also include the preparation of the statutory financial statements for the head office entities.

Michael Page are delighted to be partnering with a renowned global Plc to recruit a new Head of Corporate Accounting.

The role will be based in the Midlands, with hybrid working. The organisation is a market-leading blue chip Plc.

Description

• Ownership of the accounting and Group reporting, for monthly internal management and statutory purposes. Preparation of the statutory financial statements for the head office entities.
• Accounting for share-based compensation arrangements. Working with remuneration advisors on the grant of new awards, preparation of ERS returns to HMRC.
• Calculation of the IFRS 2 charge to be posted monthly .
• Posting and reconciliation of the Group ledgers and cost centers
• Management and control of the group's intercompany balances.
• Key point of contact to support Treasury accounting
• Work with the Group Finance team to prepare high quality reports at particularly busy periods
• Work with Group Finance Systems team to develop appropriate system enhancements and changes as required
• Working with both external and internal auditors

Profile

The successful candidate will be a technically strong qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA), who has trained with a 'Big Four' accountancy firm and already have a track record of Plc reporting.

In conjunction with technical accounting skills, you will be self-motivated and willing to contribute to wider team objectives.

Job Offer

£80,000 - £90,000 + car allowance + benefits
