Job description

Head of Corporate Sales, an immediate requirement for an experienced and credible senior sales executive who can evidence managing, leading, and motivating a team of professional sales and business developers. Based in Yorkshire, working for a UK provider of utilities infrastructure, this post offers full responsibility for the ongoing development and contribution to the wider Corporate Sales objectives, working closely with key stakeholders and high value, key contracts. Offering a highly competitive salary and attractive employee benefits package, this role sits within the senior management team and calls for a candidate who can demonstrate at least 3 years previous, high-profile sales and business development expertise.

Your career history will evidence a proven track record in business development management, identifying and winning new lucrative business opportunities across the multi-utility sector (Gas/Electricity/Water) therefore previous relevant utilities experience is required. As Head of Corporate Sales, you will have full responsibility for managing the performance of the wider sales team, setting goals and key objectives, staff appraisals, performance review and recruitment of new team members, delivering business development training through an incentivised programme approach.

With accountability for new sales and increased revenue across the business, you will work collaboratively as part of the wider sales team, leading from the front, encouraging, and enthusing the sales team to achieve targets and financial expectations. This will include arranging and attending prospective and current key client site visits to establish the need and validate financial worth for the business.

With previous experience of building new business and retained business pipelines, producing complex sales reports for key stakeholders, presenting new and innovative business development angles and opportunities whilst developing your existing team remain key factors in this exciting and rewarding senior post. Ideally educated to Degree Level Business and/or Finance level, this position is best suited to a candidate who confidently provide factual evidence of previous new business generation and business wins.
